What we’ll discuss at your bridal hair trial
You know your curls, and that knowledge is useful to your hairstylist.
Tell us about your usual wash and styling routine, the products you like and how your curls change throughout the day. Photos of your own hair on a day you loved it are particularly helpful.
We’ll also discuss your preferred finish. Do you love soft volume and movement, or would you like more definition around your face?
Where needed, your artist may use a small tong to refine individual curls before styling. Let us know your preferences around heat styling so we can talk through the approach together.
Your trial is also a chance to try your veil and accessories, assess the finished shape and share anything you’d like to adjust.

How to prepare your curls for wedding styling
Follow the preparation instructions from your assigned hairstylist. Your routine and chosen hairstyle help us decide what will work best.
We generally recommend:
Washing your hair on the wedding morning or the day before. Your artist will confirm the timing, allowing enough time for your hair to dry.
Gently squeezing out excess moisture. Avoid rubbing your curls with a towel.
Using your usual leave in conditioner and curl cream, unless your artist gives you different instructions.
Drying your curls using your usual method. Your hair needs to be fully dry when we begin styling.
Protecting your curls overnight if you wash the day before. A silk bonnet or turban can help keep them from being disturbed while you sleep.
Share your routine with us before the appointment so we can make the instructions personal to your hair.
